We can say that the new year is starting in a somewhat chaotic fashion. The current situation, which is sometimes anxiety-provoking, is constantly requiring us to adapt. To help you refocus, here are a few ideas for little moments or activities to do that will do you good! Whether you do all of this in the same day (spa-inspired!), or spread it over several weekends, we hope these few tips will help you start the new year off on the right foot!

1- Outdoor exercise

What if the day started with an outdoor activity? Whether it’s moderate intensity like a walk or more active like skating or cross-country skiing, you’ll immediately see a change in your mood. Are you put off by the cold of winter? DARE to go out in 2022! The best trick to enjoying winter is undoubtedly to learn to tame the cold. To achieve this, wear several layers of clothing and cover your extremities well. Finally, keep moving to stay warm.

2- Warm up with a drink or hot soup

In winter, our bodies need a little more warmth than usual to function. When you come in from outside, treat yourself to a nice hot chocolate, coffee or tea. Feeling peckish? Accompany it all with a good steaming soup served with bread or crackers. Nothing better to warm you up.

3- Add light to the house

If you are in the habit of lighting candles in winter, you will know that they have a calming effect, as well as lighting up the whole house. Take advantage of winter fragrances such as fir and pine to scent your living area. The glow of the candles instantly creates a calm and enveloping effect. You can also opt for small fairy lights. Their luminosity is soft and very pretty.

4- Treat yourself to a treatment or treatments

Hair or face mask, body treatment, jade roller massage; we suggest you try it all! Your skin will thank you, because it dries out a lot in winter.

5- Reading to learn

Do you like reading? Whether you are in the bath, before falling into the arms of Morpheus or simply relaxing in the afternoon, reading has a calming effect. You don’t like heavy novels? How about reading to learn? Books are full of ideas for finding a new hobby or learning more about your next travel destination.

6- Listening to music

Yes, watching a movie is good, but have you ever tried resting your eyes by simply listening to your favorite musical artist? Lie down and take the time to savor the moment. You’ll see, you’ll quickly develop a taste for resting your eyes away from the screens. To avoid waking the children, treat yourself to a pair of wireless headphones to fully appreciate the moment.

7- Taking a bath

8 - Treating yourself to a hearty meal or cooking

Many restaurants have had to close their dining rooms recently. Take the opportunity to encourage them by having a hearty meal delivered to your home. It’s winter, so let’s take the opportunity to fill up on comfort food. Spoil yourself! Your body needs it to keep warm.
