The hot days are not even over yet and we already have to switch to back-to-school mode. Too early to plan and organize, you think? Are you out of breath just thinking about it? Because the start of the school year is often synonymous with a change of gear and everything speeds up, here are a few ideas that will save you some time.
If you already lack inspiration just hearing the word lunch, this is for you. Whether it’s to make it easier to create lunches, or simply to vary, Bento boxes are popular with children and parents alike. With their small compartments, you can fill the box in a simple and balanced way. Here, it’s all about simplicity! Break down a sandwich by compartmentalizing it, add some raw vegetables and you’re done. You’ll see, kids love this way of eating.
Because this task can be time-consuming, why not opt for ready-to-stick labels? Already labeled with your child’s name, they are easy to use. A little tip: order more than you need to have enough for the whole year. Why? Because school supplies are like mittens: they get lost or disappear during the year! That way, you can label them at any time.
Why not get the children involved in making their own lunch? By providing them with a choice of snacks that you have placed in different containers, you can teach them to be responsible as well as letting them choose. A very winning 2 for 1!
The morning routine is a real headache when it comes to choosing clothes? As a solution, we suggest you organize the clothes for each day of the week. How? Simply with storage lockers that you can add to the wardrobe or behind the door of your child’s bedroom. In addition to involving them in choosing their clothes by putting several items in the locker, your children will be more independent come morning.
Visit the Hart shop, which offers a variety of storage solutions.
Is it a race every morning to bring home the backpack, shoes and PE kit? What if each child had their own hook and a small tray with their own things? By giving them the responsibility of hanging up their bag every evening and planning their clothes, or the equipment needed for the next day’s activity, the mad morning rush and forgetfulness would be a thing of the past. This system isn’t foolproof, but it’s pretty close!
The dreaded homework! Is it a headache for you? With books and pencils to be found everywhere, how can you keep track of it all? Having a little homework corner ready for the children will literally save your life. With everything to hand – pencils, erasers, paper, etc. – you’ll be able to get down to work much more quickly. Provide a quiet place and materials for the little ones. The homework corner should be inviting and calm so that the children feel at ease. Why not add a place to sit and recite the spelling words? To try it is to love it!

To save time and get a head start, remember to get everything you need this fall. While you’re at it, take a little shopping trip so you’ll be ready when fall really sets in. Little gloves, fall boots, rain boots, lined coats, everything is available starting in August. Don’t wait!
We hope that your return to school will be smooth and a little less rushed (we believe it!). Don’t forget to take a breather between buying school supplies and planning the year.
